Trusting Through Transitions
Last week I came to work, and like overnight, Rachel transitioned the store with amazing fall decor. It's hard to wrap my brain around the fact that fall is here. Despite the extreme heat we're experiencing, the transition to fall is truly happening.
Transitioning to different seasons has never been a real challenge for me, but this year...can we just say that this year has been an overall challenge!! That's another blog for another day. Stay tuned next week for funny Covid excuses.
As I was looking around my home yesterday, I realized I have 3 different signs saying "be still," "be still and know that I am God," and "be still my soul." Apparently there is a theme I'm trying to tell myself: calm down, be still, trust God. Thus I'm making it my goal/desire is to trust God as we transition to the last part of this year.
While it's still so warm outside, it can be hard to dive head-first into pumpkins & leaves this time of year. So this week, we're sharing some of our favorite ways to enjoy those rich, saturated hues of late summer & gradually bring in our favorite fall accents.
Take a cue from nature and pair late summer sunflowers with subtle white pumpkins to get the right balance for August into early September. I love how our best selling blue vases mimic the perfect, clear blue fall sky!
Or, keep those purple and orange tulips out a bit longer, pairing them with these great, neutral mercury glass pumpkins. I love purple! This is the perfect season to incorporate deep, rich purples into your accents.
As we slowly, peacefully enter this time of seasonal transition, we pray that through whatever changes you're going through right now (whether it's seasonal--summer to fall, or personal--experiencing loss, feeling sorrow, or rejoicing that kids are back in school) you will know that God is aware of your transitions. Sometimes we need a new season to push us into change. Other times we need to slow down to count our blessings. Most importantly, we need seasons of change to make us calm down, be still, and trust God.
"It's a new season. A perfect opportunity to do something new, something bold, something beautiful." If this year has been any indication, I would say we have no clue what this fall holds. Buckle up. Hang on. Trust God!
Until next time, keep trusting~
